SearchXtraNormal "quick tour" videos13

| So I want to add videos to the site as a kind of "quick tour" because lets be honest no one really likes reading all the time. I will probably do two videos, one for developers, and one for how to earn money on adsreloaded. That being said what do you guys think about the video idea? Also has anyone had good experiences with XtraNormal videos? There are quite a few viral videos on youtube... but idk if it would be appropriate for a business website. |

| I think an XtraNormal video (or videos) is a great idea. The only thing that would make a video like that inappropriate would be if (1) it was boring; (2) it didn't explain the AR concept in a clear way; and (3) it included too much swearing. I don't think a couple bad words is a "deal breaker". As a user/viewer I wouldn't mind. I'd probably find the approach refreshing and entertaining, especially if you are able to avoid #1 and #2 above. |

| Version 1 of the video is up on the home page. Not exactly what I wanted but after about an hour of messing with xtranormal (and their sometimes frustrating errors) it seemed decent. I'll keep iterating. In any case I do agree with you mike. I am still on the fence about swearing though. On one hand I like to keep things professional, but on the other I have no personal problems with swearing. In fact I swear everyday... (not to mention htc evo vs iphone 4 is hilarious). I'll have to put some thought / do some user testing to see how I want to approach the swearing problem. |
